Brighton Pride has arrived. Ahead of the most dazzling of the UK’s LGBTQ+ celebrations we’ve rounded up our pick of the year’s best creative campaigns. From confectionary to the military, simple and surprising, expect more than just a play on the rainbow theme in these Zinc favourites.
Swedish Armed Forces
A stereotypically heteronormative institution showing that they encourage a diverse and inclusive working culture. We like the humour of this quirky message from the Swedish Armed Forces, a campaign that shows how recruits will be welcomed into an environment where all are encouraged to succeed.
Skittles wear the rainbow all year round, and there’s only so much you can do when you’ve already used all the colours in the spectrum. So how can they make an effort to support Pride without resting on their usual branding? Remove the rainbow! In a statement that says ‘only one rainbow deserves to be the centre of attention – yours’ we applaud the simplicity and effectiveness in this playful packaging design.
Heathrow Airport invited passengers to try on a shade of lipstick and share a kiss with their home made Pride flag. A simple but sweet idea that looks like it came from MAC rather than terminal 5. We’re proud to see this flying at a gateway to our country.
