Aim for a better future
When you look at an item on the shelf are you thinking: is this sustainably and ethically sourced? To support The Body Shop’s aim for a better future for our planet, Zinc created a behavioural change strategy that gives the next generation of consumers the knowledge to consider the global impact of what they buy locally.
With a brand focus on The Body Shop’s Coconut Butter, Zinc developed a host of curriculum linked resources based on the journey from ‘plant to pot’. The Body Shop Education Programme asks KS4 pupils to consider how each decision made affects the sustainable integrity of the whole supply chain.
Making global issues relatable
In a clear to use style, The Body Shop Education Programme offers teachers downloadable notes and supporting presentations that take global issues and make them relatable to students. These resources cover subjects such as Design and Technology, Science, Geography, PSHE & Citizenship and Business. Through interactive presentations and worksheets, students recognised for themselves the influence that the production, design, and consumerism of commercial beauty products have on people and the planet.
By understanding the journey of the product they see on the shelf, students are empowered to make informed decisions.
