Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar
Zinc were thrilled to support the launch in the UK of Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar™, which exposes little ones to the foundation skills of coding: thinking, problem-solving and sequencing – the building blocks for STEM subject areas. We created The ‘Garden Path Challenge’ – a flexible obstacle course for the new Fisher Price toy – which children can play with individually or in groups.
Everyone loved the Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar™ when launched at the Preschool Learning Alliance annual conference – it was hard not to as the caterpillar crawls around, blinking and smiling, turning and making fun sounds whilst on its mission to teach coding!
Another fine example of how we implemented an educational campaign for Mattel was our work on Scrabble.
Zinc created ‘National School Scrabble Club’ a campaign that promoted the use of Scrabble in primary school, highlighting the game’s inherent developmental and core skill opportunities.
We successfully communicated the learning potential and instigated the creation of Scrabble Club in schools. This drew an estimated participation rate of 45,000 and also the sale of 1500 packs in the first two terms.
“We have worked with Zinc for many years across a range of our pre-school and primary school brands, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Little People, UNO, Scrabble and Hot Wheels and find their experience and knowledge invaluable in allowing us to take our brands with confidence into the education arena.”
