Really pleased to see how we’ve made a little difference…
Throughout the year there are volunteering opportunities to help support the events Rays of Sunshine organise for wish children and their families, this included the recent Christmas parties in Manchester and London, the concert at Wembley arena and various wish days at attractions like Clacton Pier. They also need help supporting their challenge events like Tough Mudder, the London Marathon, Ride 100 and the Great North Run.
The Rays of Sunshine Christmas parties were held last weekend in Manchester on Saturday and in London on Sunday. The charity invited 200 wish children and their families to Manchester and 500 wish children and their families to the party in London. There were arcade games, build a bear, fairground stalls, face painting, piggybank painting, jewellery making and visits by Fleur East and Father Christmas. Each child received a gift and food, and sweets were provided for all.
